Fidan Engages Cambodian and Vietnamese Leaders

(MENAFN) During his visit to the United States for the first session of the Board of Peace, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan conducted a series of bilateral meetings with senior officials from Southeast Asia.

According to official statements, Fidan met with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet in Washington, DC. The discussions were held privately, and no further details were disclosed regarding the content of their exchange.

In a separate engagement, the Turkish foreign minister also held talks with Vietnam’s Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung. This meeting likewise took place behind closed doors, with authorities refraining from releasing additional information.

Türkiye has been intensifying its outreach to the Asia-Pacific region as part of its broader “Asia Anew Initiative.” Through expanded diplomatic partnerships, growing trade ties, and increased involvement in regional platforms, Ankara aims to reinforce cooperation and deepen its presence across one of the most economically dynamic parts of the world.
