Vietnam Unveils Up to 5-Year Visa Exemptions for Foreign Experts

(MENAFN) Vietnam is moving toward offering extended visa exemptions of up to five years for select foreign nationals who significantly contribute to the nation’s socio-economic growth, media reported Monday.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security has proposed allowing qualified foreigners to remain in the country for 90 days per visit, doubling the current 45-day stay limit.

This exemption targets individuals invited by senior leaders within the Communist Party of Vietnam, the state, and government, along with CEOs, scientists, university professors, researchers, engineers, and highly skilled IT professionals.

According to the ministry, the initiative seeks to draw elite foreign experts in key fields such as semiconductors, digital technology, science, and creative industries.
